About
Greetings. I am exclusively making this page because i want to have a place to post translations i have made.
For more context, i sometimes translate things, usually song lyrics, into English, from other languages. Most of this effort has been in translating songs from DEEMO II. I generally would just put these translations on the wiki, but it occurred to me that doing this may lead to some confusing things. I don't want the translations to have simply appeared out of thin air onto the wiki; it is better practice to have a place to point to that they came from. It's the same reason that Wikipedia doesn't allow "original research" to be edited into their pages. So, i'm making this blog as a repository for those, so that this page can be cited as the source.
Note several things. First of all, i am currently a monolingual English speaker, meaning English is the only language in which i am fluent. I do my translations with extensive use of online linguistic resources and linguistic knowledge which i possess. Basically, take everything on here with a grain of salt. I am confident in all of my translations; however, i cannot possibly be totally sure that they are totally correct. So, if a native speaker of the source language comes up with a better translation, so be it; they are more qualified than me.
Also, this website is intentionally minimal. I really, honestly, do not care whether or not my Translation Repository:tm: looks pretty. So, i hope it doesn't bother you that this site is underdesigned.

I would like to make a small tribute to 5U级氟化氢 on bilibili, whose lyric compilations have been invaluable. Additionally, a compilation of lyrics by this same person proves to be of value.
Another thing to note: it is pretty obvious that these translations appear to exist in a vacuum. For most of them, i provide Romaji and English only, not the original Japanese, and some of them only English. This is because these blog posts only exist to be used as cite-able sources for that information. Anything else relating to the lyrics which exists elsewhere on the web is not posted here because existing elsewhere tautologically means that there exist other sources. The lyrics i translate are posted on the Deemo Wiki in the case of Deemo songs, and Cytus Wiki in the case of, what, one song from there? lol
